17-year-old with perfect GPA stabbed to death at track meet … why do you think this isn’t getting a ton of news coverage?

Gee, I wonder why this has literally zero chance of becoming a national news story we all talk about for a week and call a hate crime.

You won't see any liberals taking a knee for this one. Well, unless there's a Tesla nearby that needs its tires slashed, but you get the idea.

Let's see if any other outlet besides The New York Post is showing the perp:

Why do you think that is? If the skin colors had been switched, what would the coverage look like?

Okay, I'm done with politics, because this is just such a sad story.

Austin Metcalf ran track, but he was better known for his play at linebacker on the football team where he's racked up more than 200 tackles over the course of his sophomore and junior seasons on the varsity squad. He was the team's MVP, according to his father.

What's more, Austin was a National Honor Student. He maintained a 4.0 GPA, according to his father, and he would've likely been playing college ball and getting his degree for free in 2026.

Here's how the fatal stabbing came to be:

The father said the altercation between the two teenagers, who did not know each other, began after Metcalf told Anthony he was sitting in the wrong area, sparking an angry response.

And Karmelo Anthony got so upset that he stabbed Austin Metcalf in the heart, killing him at the UIL District 11-5A Championship track meet, which was canceled shortly afterwards.

Jeff added Austin's twin brother, Hunter, saw the stabbing take place and attempted to stop the bleeding.

He said: 'They were twins, identical twins, and his brother was holding on to him, trying to make it stop bleeding, and he died in his brother's arms. I rushed up there and I saw him on the gurney and I could tell — they said he wasn't breathing.'

Anthony has been charged with murder in the first degree.

Here's Austin's dad, Jeff, on Facebook:

Something else I found on Jeff's Facebook page: Austin had just this past weekend shot his first hog:

Glad dad and the boys got to have that weekend of hunting together before this tragedy occurred.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the family, which I will link to here.

$73,000 and counting.
