A D.C. woman now faces a federal charge accusing her of assaulting the city's former top prosecutor earlier this month.
Emily Gabriella Sommer was arrested Thursday on a single count of assaulting a government official. She's accused of spitting on former acting U.S. Attorney Ed Martin Jr. while he was giving a sidewalk interview to the right-wing outlet Newsmax earlier this month.
Hard to see how the feds don't have a bulletproof case here — it's literally on video!

But even if the tape hadn't been rolling on this one, this young lady was apparently determined to identify herself as the spitter in question, taking to Twitter to announce that she, in fact, was the spitter:

Apparently the young woman has already been arrested, as police found her booking photo in a law enforcement database:
According to the feds, she has been charged with "one count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding a government official."
