The optics of this are, incredibly, true: Rep. Grijalva, may he rest in peace, died early Thursday:
Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., died of lung cancer-related issues on Thursday morning, his office announced in a statement. In Congress, the southern Arizona Democrat was most known for his work on the House Natural Resources committee.
... but hours later his account was still firing off anti-Trump tweets:
The replies were immediate — including from the X CEO himself:
The congressman, who received an outpouring of support on Thursday from friends on Capitol Hill, was 77 years old. He had served in Congress since 2003.
RIP Rep. Grijalva — and your Twitter account, too, hopefully.
