Despite still grieving the loss of his friend Charlie Kirk, President Donald Trump made the trek to New York on Thursday to observe the 24th anniversary of 9/11 by attending the game between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers.
Trump was warmly received, and even serenaded with "USA" chants.
Later in the game, the raucous New York crowd erupted into chants for Trump right in the middle of play...
Before the game, Trump visited with the Yankees in their clubhouse, giving them a pep talk and guaranteeing them a win.
Trump also shook hands with and spoke to star slugger Aaron Judge.
Judge went on to go 3-4 on the night, including a pair of solo home runs that gave him 100 RBI on the season. Maybe it was the handshake…
The Yankees went on to defeat the Tigers 9-3.
