No, this wasn't done out of malice.
Nature is just healing.
This vacant lot, called "Fleet Block," is owned by the city and has been scheduled for demolition for a while.
But if this had been a few years ago in the midst of the BLM religious fervor, no city would have dared demolish any tribute to violent criminal/hard drug enthusiast Georgio Floyd.
The fact that life is now going about as usual shows that the woke mind virus has lost control.
More from the Salt Lake Tribune:
Long named for the city's transport fleet operations once housed there, the run-down Fleet Block is envisioned for the future as a vibrant mixed-use public square benefiting the surrounding neighborhood with housing, community amenities, open spaces and a dedicated memorial honoring its history.
Sounds a lot better than a space for honoring an evil man who pointed guns at pregnant women, robbed businesses with counterfeit money, and aggressively resisted arrest with meth, weed, and fentanyl in his system.
The 26 murals honored people killed by police, lumping in repeat criminals like Floyd with difficult mental health cases, like Salt Lake resident Jovany Mercado-Bedolla, who was shot by officers in the midst of a schizophrenic episode after neighbors called about a man wielding a knife in the street.
Preserving the murals has been deemed too expensive, the city has said, because each wall would weigh around 3 tons. The utility buildings can't be saved either, partly because they contain hazardous asbestos.
Here's to one less religious icon of George Floyd. Can't wait for the statues to be torn down too.
