LOL Denmark still thinks it can stop Greenland from becoming our cherished 51st state
Denmark, which technically owns Greenland but says it is "autonomous," had some thoughts.

Following Landry's appointment, Rasmussen told Reuters in an emailed statement, 'The appointment confirms the continued American interest in Greenland. However, we insist that everyone — including the U.S. — must show respect for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark.'
In a separate statement, Rasmussen told CBS News he was 'deeply angered' by the appointment and warned Washington to respect Denmark's sovereignty.
Greenland has some of the most resource-rich land on the planet, and it's strategic placement makes it militarily important to the U.S., which has had a military presence on the island since World War II.
What's more, a majority of Greenland's population would like independence from Denmark. A majority do not, however, want to become part of the U.S.
Obviously, President Trump has different plans!
