Not gonna lie, this interview of Mayor Eric Adams, who decided not to run for a second term as New York City mayor (and is full-on ready to move on with his life) just made my day.
Watch:

And then I don't have to deal with you guys, man. I can fly private now. I can go on a cruise. I can hang out in St. Barth. I can go and do whatever I want without you guys looking over my shoulder.
I'm actually out of the fish bowl. I'm now going to live. I've been doing this for forty years, and for the first time in forty years I'm going to be able to live my life.
...
This is Eric Adams unfiltered, and the last forty years I was filtered. And so I really ask myself when I look at the office that are waiting for me: I have to be stuck on stupid to want to do this again.
Eric Adams: One of us!
Dude just wants to be done with his job and not have people breathing down his neck.
He had some words on the election as well (this was before we had results):
Alas, Mamdani is here to stay.
The Daily Show made a montage of Mayor Adams' greatest quotes and I can't leave here without showing it to you.
