Texas Democrats are not going to be happy about this:
But the Democrats in California and other blue states have promised to redraw their maps if Texas gets this one through. It still has to pass the state house.
From the Texas Tribune:
The Senate-approved map is identical to the initial draft introduced in the House. After that proposal was approved by a House committee, Democrats in the lower chamber left the state, depriving the chamber of the required number of lawmakers to pass legislation.

Under the proposed congressional maps released Wednesday, President Donald Trump would have won 3 more districts in 2024.
