The usual thing that happens when you enter the lion exhibit at the zoo happened here.
From the New York Post:
A troubled teenager who dreamed of becoming a lion tamer was mauled to death in front of horrified zoo-goers after climbing a 20-foot fence to get into the big cats' enclosure.
The zoo would immediately close after the incident.
Gerson de Melo Machado, who has been diagnosed as schizophrenic, has made other attempts at becoming a lion tamer. He once snuck into the landing gear of an Africa-bound airplane, but was discovered in hiding and reported to CPS.
The Zoo says the lioness will not be euithanized because she hadn't been aggressive outside of this incident where a random human entered her enclosure.

Chase your dreams, kids, but not like this.
