Nebraska man, Aidan Orion White, made a decisive jump to the dark side when he saw some kids playing outside his house and rushed out with his lightsaber to attack them.
Yes, you read that correctly.
His lightsaber!
Dude must have just finished watching Revenge of the Sith or something.
Investigators described it as ‘a higher quality device, approximately 3 1/2 feet long constructed of metal and thick plastic.' The lightsaber, a deputy noted, ‘could cause significant pain and injury when used to strike an individual.'
It must have been one of those dueling lightsabers that were all the rage before Disney killed Star Wars.
Anyway, let's try to stay on track here, folks. White started hitting a 7-year old girl with his fancy reinforced lightsaber, and when her mom, Saundra Lunzmann, ran out to protect her, the guy yelled:
I'm not in the mood, get back in your [censored] house.
Then he attacked her with the lightsaber too.
Okay, maybe he was watching Episode 2.
Whatever the case, police arrived, handcuffed the crazed Jedi, and hauled him off to jail, where he admitted to attacking Lunzmann and her daughter.
He said he attacked them because his rent had increased.
He is currently being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond, and the judge ordered a competency evaluation before his trial.
