So, uhh, I really hate to say it, but this seems to be a "mess around and find out" story right here. I'm speculating, so time will tell.
We'll have to wait for the autopsy, as Eric Slate's brother, Robert, who owns the petting zoo, says he isn't convinced Jack (the kangaroo) killed his brother.
Slate's body was found inside the enclosure just before midnight on Friday at the 5-Star Farm, 30 miles north of Myrtle Beach. As you can see from the above video, he has a history of roughhousing with the roos, though it looks very innocent and silly (from what we can see on the tape).
Some reports have suggested that Eric Slate was in the enclosure roughhousing with a kangaroo at the time of his death, but we don't really know this was the case.
