Last night was night one at the new CBS Evening News, which promised a few days ago to put you, the viewer, first, so let's take a look at how it's going.
First there was the awkward pause...
...then there was the use of Michigan's nickname (Great Lakes State) to Minnesota.
The Bari Weiss Era seems to be going well over there at CBS!
Tony Dokoupil, seen above, did do his part to cover the Venezuela issue and the RFK vaccine schedule issue as if he didn't work for The Atlantic or something, but the above rumble, bumble, stumble made for absolutely perfect first-night-of-the-show content.
Dokoupil has been on the air for quite some time, and I'm sure he's had his share of these muck-ups, so just add this one to the list.
