Chicago is fine you guys... it's fine.

If you've ever been on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, you know they have some pretty impressive stores up there on Michigan Avenue. And when you've got stores like Louis Vuitton in a blue city where crime is not taken seriously, you'll invite crash-and-grabs like this one.

And those crimes may randomly kill innocent people as well.

From ABC 7:

Police said one of the getaway vehicles, a Kia Stinger, drove south on Michigan Avenue, where it crashed with a Honda CR-V at Ohio Street.

The driver of the Honda, a man in his 40s who was not involved in the burglary, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died, police said.

Five suspects from the Kia were taken into custody and taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Dude was probably on his way to work (you know, where you earn your money the right way) when he was crashed into by a bunch of thugs and later died.

That's the reality of Chicago for you.

A Rolex store on Michigan Avenue had been broken into within the past week as well.

'This is the second major incident in a row where there was a robbery on Michigan Avenue that involved violence,' 2nd Ward Ald. Brian Hopkins said. 'We're going to be installing security bollards in the coming weeks. That was planned even before this incident happened, but we shouldn't have to resort to those tactics. We're trying to recover the economy of Michigan Avenue. We've had record vacancy rates in recent years. They are finally starting to inch down. This doesn't help.'

Chicago is fine, you guys.
