Elon Musk’s record for the largest single-payer tax bill was just broken by a Pennsylvania man named Barry
· May 1, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Back in 2021, Elon Musk had an $11 billion tax bill, which at the time was the largest single-payer tax bill ever.

But that tax bill record has recently been SHATTERED by Barry Tangent from Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, who got a $34 billion tax bill from the state of Pennsylvania.

Congratulations, I guess??

When you consider that Tangent doesn't own any companies and makes less than $100,000 a year, his feat is way more impressive than Elon Musk's.

The guy is going to pay for 75% of next year's state budget without actually having any money (just like the real politicians do it).

Oddly enough, Tangent got a $900 refund from the IRS on the same day as the tax bill.

Which, as Joe Biden would say, is a deficit reduction.

Barry was understandably upset about the whole ordeal and said,

The first thought was, "I wish I made enough money to even owe thirty billion in taxes," then I was thinking, "I'm going to need to drink a lot of coffee in order to work three full time jobs" and then I'm thinking, "Wesley Snipes doesn't have anything on me," and finally I was thinking, "don't they have a computer algorithm to spot an error like this and if a human looked at this why do they still have a job?"

He reached out to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, and they told him they'd look into it and get back to him...

... in a few weeks.

My guess is that Elon will get to keep his title of largest tax bill ever when it all gets sorted out!!
