Another day, another bunch of knuckleheads obstructing Homeland Security officers in the performance of their duty.
Debbie works for WGN and, of course, in a free speech respecting society arresting a "journalist" is the worst sin possible.
The WGN video editor and producer (not a journalist, btw) was on the scene where Chicagoans were, once again, trying to obstruct ICE while they were making arrests and detainment.
It's unclear, according to local reports, if Brockman was on the clock while attending the protest or not.
It is unclear if the woman was working for WGN when she was detained.
It almost sounds like she was trying to use her job as a shield for obstructing the law ...
In a video a witness recorded of the incident, the woman identified herself as Debbie Brockman and said she works for WGN. Brockman is a full-time video editor and producer for the station, according to her LinkedIn profile.
'Earlier today, a WGN-TV creative services employee was detained by ICE. She has since been released, and no charges were filed against her,' the company said in a statement. 'Out of respect for her privacy, we will have no further statements about this incident.'
Huh. That's weird. WGN, her employer, isn't defending her as one of their reporters, or saying she was there in an official capacity. You'd think that would be important info to get out there.
You know, if Trump's Gestapo were arresting journalists.
Like the activists would have you think:
You know, I didn't see this kind of energy from the Left when Nick Sortor was arrested in Portland last week.
Maybe they missed the story ...
Assistant Homeland Security Secretary McLaughlin put out this statement:
So, according to DHS, this lady was believed to be one of the individuals throwing objects at working law enforcement officers. She was detained and then let go.
Worst. Dictatorship. Ever.
Here's more from the incident:
After a few minutes, federal agents put the woman inside the minivan and shut the door, but realized another van was in their way, Thomas said.
After two federal agents got out of the minivan to briefly yell at the driver to move, the agents got back into the van and drove off, hitting the other car and breaking its rear bumper and tail lights, according to videos and witnesses.
That van didn't just happen to be in the way. Like we've seen before in Chicago, Antifa and leftist losers are using their vehicles to box in ICE agents and ambush them.

Hopefully your wife and children make it home!
Yeah, these are probably the good guys out here protesting on the street, allegedly hurling rocks and other items at police, blocking in police with their cars.
The man who allegedly made this threat after the van was hit with an object had the audacity to talk to the press and make himself out as a hero.
I mean ... something hit that van. That's very clear in the video. And somebody had to throw it. And it's not like there were a ton of people there ...
Regardless, she was detained, released, and is now back on the street to do more of her "journalism."
