At a time when it's impossible to pass, and in a transparent effort to fundraise and to make Republicans look racist, Democrat congresswoman Summer Lee has announced a new reparations bill.
This country has taken so much from black folks and has a debt it owes. For over 400 hundred years, until this very day, this country has stolen black labor, black lives, black futures.
Ahh yes, black people in 2025 are still suffering the same "theft" as imported slaves in the 1700s because, well, because Summer and all of the black studies professors at Harvard and Yale said so!
But, like clockwork, we're covering this call for slavery reparations all over again.
The resolution calls for the federal government to allocate trillions of dollars in reparations to Black Americans to atone for chattel slavery, Jim Crow and the ongoing effects of other federally sanctioned discriminatory policies.
TRILLIONS of dollars!
Yeah, I'm sorry, no.
Never going to happen.
