Aftyn Behn is running for office in Nashville and also openly hates Nashville.
Yeah, she's basically right. And, I'll let you in on a secret, she's a native to Knoxville and this is just about how all Knoxvillians feel about Nashville.
Everything that makes modern Nashville "Nashville" -- the bachelorettes, the cowboy hats, Broadway, peddle taverns -- they're all tourist stuff.
But they do bring in millions of visitors every year and is pretty much the entire basis of Nashville's economy.
But saying these things about the city you're trying to represent in Congress is like running for NYC mayor and saying you don't like Times Square or Broadway.
It's not the way to endear yourself to the city!
The politics behind this statement are absolutely awful.
