Atlanta-Area Sheriff Calls For Emergency Backup Because Burger King Got Order Wrong
· Oct 17, 2024 · NottheBee.com

Well, you've gotta think the store with the "Have It Your Way" jingle would let the man have it his way.

But this Burger King in Mableton, GA, was not up to the standards of the local sheriff.

[Warning: Language]

You didn't tell them who I was, did you?

DUDE!

I just need to find out who owns this place so I can file an official complaint...

This story happened way back in March of 2023, but it's now becoming public because, you guessed it, Sheriff Craig Owens is up for reelection (what an October surprise!).

Cobb County has a population of 766,149 that Sheriff Owens was elected to protect

And yes, this really happened. This is not satire. The sheriff of Cobb County, a major county outside of Atlanta, called for backup because BK messed up his Whopper.

In a statement, he tried to justify it because he didn't ask his deputies for any special favors.

'I was not in my uniform, and at no point in my interaction with the staff did I identify myself as a member of the law enforcement community,' he told WSB-TV. 'At no point did I indicate my position, nor did I ask the responders to do anything that they would not, had not, or have not done for anyone else who makes a business dispute call.'

YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT.

NO ONE should call the cops because a fast food place got their order wrong, YOU MORON!

(Does this have to be said?)

You hear stories of idiots calling the cops in the drive-thru all the time, but this guy is an elected officer of the law. And he thinks calling in deputies to put the squeeze on Burger King for messing up his order was justified.

Georgia, y'all have got to get your stuff together.
