Don't listen to the naysayers! Don't listen to the doomers!
The "reasonable" and "moderate" conservatives who think Trump's immigration policy is too heartless are just trying to please the libs.
CNN, of all places, tells us what the American people think about illegal immigration.
[Immigration] is one of his strongest issues at plus one point. And more than that on the net approval, the net approval for him on this issue has stayed steady in the positive. This is an area where Donald Trump wants to focus because the bottom line is this is an area which the American people, at least the bare majority of them, seem to like what he's doing.
That's compared to -12 points at the same point in his first term.
So you're telling me, CNN, that with all the media freakouts, all the sob stories, the American people are STILL totally down with Trump's immigration policies?
Even better, Americans LOVE the mass deportations.
Deport all undocumented immigrants: Voters favoring the government trying to deport all 11 million of 'em. Back in 2016 just 38% of voters wanted the government to try to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants. Compared to where we are in 2025 56% the majority! The American people have come a long way on this issue.
So here we are in 2025, with all of the "Maryland dad" and other sob stories in the media, and a MAJORITY of Americans want to see every last illegal alien deported out of the country.
These are huge numbers and they show us why we can't just govern based on what feels good.
The American people love Trump's immigration plans, they are optimistic, and they want to see every illegal alien gone.
