The largest teachers' union in the nation's third-largest city is using far-left language to push for commie tax hikes on millionaires and billionaires.

"Pay their fair share" is dumb, considering the vast majority of taxes are paid by the richest Americans. According to the CATO Institute, the top 10% richest Americans pay more than 60% of all federal taxes and 72% of all income tax. They also own most of the businesses (and manage the employee payrolls) that comprise half of all federal income.

In fact, the top 0.1% richest Americans pay 33% of all taxes, meaning the only reason a city like Chicago even exists is because a handful of billionaires (like Gov. Pritzker) shell out far more than "their fair share"!

But it's not about the slogan.

It's about communism, and hoo boy does the CTU love communism.

Chicago schools receive a ton of money each year, spending nearly $30,000 per student annually. The average price for private school in the Chicago area is $10-15,000 per year.

Despite that, Chicago schools are struggling to produce a single kid that can read and the CTU spends all its time lobbying for the most extreme, far-left policies imaginable.

It makes you wonder if the whole "school" thing isn't just a money-laundering scheme for, well, communism!
