According to the military and a fire official, the Chinese-made F-7 BGI aircraft crashed into the campus of Milestone School and College, in the Uttara neighborhood, in the afternoon as students were attending classes.
India's PM Modi said his nation stands ready to help if needed.
Last month, a similar crash involving Air India hit a university and killed more than 240 people. To make matters in the current situation worse, there are Indian accounts out there making fun of Bengalis who had laughed at the Air India tragedy, calling it karma.
Just awful. Pray for the absolute state of the world.
